Mumble Setup Information

  1. Download Mumble Client from here: Mumble Windows Client.
    WARNING: To avoid viruses, DO NOT DOWNLOAD MUMBLE FROM ANY OTHER PLACE!

  2. Run the downloaded file to install it, follow the setup wizard, then continue below.

  3. Open Mumble, on the main menu click "Server", then "Connect", use automatically generated certificate.

  4. In the dialog box, click "Add New" to add our server to the list of servers.
    Label: mumble.tribaljazz.com
    Address: mumble.tribaljazz.com
    Port: 64738
    Username: (use your tanks username, ex. Kingfox65)

  5. Click OK to Save that info, then click "connect" and choose the server you just added (mumble.tribaljazz.com).

  6. After getting connected, move to the channel of your choice.

Mumble Admin Instructions - To register a new clan member

  1. If the new user followed the steps above, they will show up in the root folder of mumble
  2. Right click the new user and choose register
  3. Right click root, choose Edit
  4. Click the groups tab
  5. In the groups box, use the drop down arrow and choose the DB4D group
  6. In the members list window, use the drop down arrow next to add, and find the new user, choose them and click add
  7. Click OK
  8. DONE

DB4D Mumble Skin
  1. Create a folder called "skins" in your mumble program directory.
  2. Open the zip file and put the stuff into your skins folder.
  3. In mumble, Configure/Settings/User Interface - select the skin file (skins\Remumble_Dark\remumble-dark.qss)

Other Sound Advice


In Windows

  1. Open Control Panel -> Sound
  2. For each sound device, right click it and choose properties
  3. Look for an Advanced tab, not all have it, if it does, proceed.
  4. Uncheck the box that says "allow applications to take exclusive control"
  1. Open Control Panel -> Sound - > Communications
  2. Look for "when windows detects communications activity" - choose "do nothing"

In Mumble

  1. Click Configure, Settings, Audio Output...
  2. In Audio Output section, Attenuate applications, turn off both check boxes.
  3. Click apply
  1. Click Configure, Settings, Network...
  2. Turn off checkbox for "use quality of service"
  3. Click apply
